A seminar with lunch was held for staff with guest speaker Waqas Hussain from the DEO Consultancy UK. Waqas is an inspirational young diversity trainer who is registered blind and prides himself in re-educating society to embrace diversity. His seminar focused on the work he does with the DEO Consultancy from a disability and racial perspective. Peter Barnard, Associate Principal said: "Multiculturalism was at the centre of students' life and that the diversity week showcased it. The Institute's aim is to ensure that when students go out into a workplace they are equipped and the multicultural theme this year encourages it. Diversity week is an annual event, however it is also something that continues throughout the year embracing topics such as disability, equality, religion and racism."
